We will be laying asphalt at the existing right turn T2 lane on-ramp over Te Atatu Bridge from Te Atatu South towards the city is changing from a T2 to a T3 Lane.Interchange.
The works necessitate significant road closures and are summarised below:
Westbound off-ramp to Te Atatu Peninsula closed. Detour via Lincoln RoadWestbound off-ramp to Te Atatu South openWestbound on-ramp closedEastbound loop on-ramp to the City closedEastbound off-ramp to Te Atatu South closedEastbound off-ramp to Te Atatu Peninsula openEastbound direct on-ramp to the City openAll traffic lanes on Te Atatu Bridge closedNorthwestern motorway and cycleway will remain open
A T3 lane can only be used by vehicles over 3.5t or vehiclesWe undertake this work at night because there is less impact on traffic. The large number of truck movements associated with 3 or more people inasphalting, and the vehicle. Vehicles usingneed to reduce the T3 lane with less than 3 occupants will run the risknumber of prosecution by the police. The T2 lane from Te Atatu Peninsula towards the city remains as a T2 lane.lanes that can be used would severely impact on daytime traffic and cause major delays.
If this work is delayed by weather or other factors it will roll over to the next night.
