Supporting sector capability
The Business Case Approach (BCA) is the way the transport sector plans, develops and invests in transport activities.
Adopted by the Transport Agency in 2013, the BCA has been adapted for the transport sector’s needs from the Better Business Case Framework, developed by the Treasury.
The next step in the BCA journey is to provide more support and training for the sector to use the BCA.
We’re planning to offer training and guidance in 2017 in the form of activity-based learning through a combination of channels (online, paper-basedpaper based and face-to-face).
The aim is to identify core capabilities and skills across a range of scenarios through the activity based learning to support people using the BCA to focus on the areas that are most relevant to them.
Details of the roll-out are still being developed. We’ll continue to work with you as we test the training approach and firm up plans for rollout and delivery next year.
