We have reviewed the consultation feedback and published the Consultation on Options Report . The preferred options for the Awakino Tunnel bypass Project and SH3 Safety and resilience improvements Project, along with the next steps for the Mt Messenger bypass Project have been announced.

What we proposed | We consulted on route options for the Mt Messenger and Awakino Tunnel bypass projects along with other safety and resilience improvements for the 58 km stretch of State Highway 3 from the Awakino Gorge to Mount Messenger:

We have been developing options for the bypass projects at Mt Messenger and Awakino Tunnel, along with other safety and resilience improvements for the 58 km stretch of State Highway 3 from the Awakino Gorge to Mount Messenger.
